Blurb:

Dr. Julie Patterson is an Alien Anthropologist. She is on a quest to bring peace to the Galaxy.

Julie and her scientific team are aboard the starship Kart Wilhelm, orbiting the planet Maia-3 with its population of Bronze Age humanoids. Their mission is to redirect the focus of the war-like beings to become successful trading partners. To accomplish this goal, the invading scientists kidnap key individuals and implant new ideals of peace and freedom into their brains.

A native of Maia-3, Iva is a member of the wealthy and deeply spiritual Violet Crown family. Following the custom of her people, her father arranges a marriage to the mathematician, Archmed. Although Iva is an influential citizen, her marriage is only for producing children. However, she longs for true love with her husband. She wants him to reject the concubines he uses for pleasure and lie with her alone.

One night, the scientists seize Iva and Archmed. Iva mistakes them for the gods. Remembering the experience, she has a plan to capture her husband’s love.

The best laid plans of scientists and natives go awry. Following their long voyage through hyperspace, the starship’s crew is distracted by the amorous, scantily-clad natives on the warm, inviting planet. Combining business with pleasure creates problems for Julie’s objective. Meanwhile, Iva is kidnapped by a sinister native bent on having her as his wife. The
fledgling unity on Maia-3 is shattered.

Can Julie and her lover, Marine Lt. Harold Hunter, restore discipline to the ship and bring peace to the natives? And what is Dr. Patterson’s secret mission?

This sexy, spanky, romantic romp in outer space is a sequel to “Love on a Forbidden Planet”, but it can be read as a stand-alone novel.

This is a mixture of science fiction and spanking

Excerpt:

“Come with me and do as I say.” He grabbed Julie’s hand and snatched her up.

“What do you have in mind?” she asked.

Harold did not answer. In her haste to follow the Marines, Julie had forgotten to bring a toga and wore her uniform jumpsuit. Harold pressed his finger to the stud under her collar and ripped the fabric from her body. Nude, he led her from their concealment toward the hut where the three Athens women were being held.

“We are going to create a distraction, and you are going to play along,” he answered. “Make a lot of noise. Yell and scream your head off.”

“Okay, you mean like play acting?” she queried.

“You got it, babe.”

Julie gasped as Harold bent her at the waist and tossed her over his shoulder like a sack of flour. With her bare bottom on display, he marched her into the middle of the village. One onlooker released a long, loud whistle which summoned more men.

“Put me down, you lout!” she yelled as her arms pounded his back. “What the bloody hell do you think you are doing? Put me down this instant!”

Harold’s hand slapped her ass cheek and he yelled at the top of his lungs, “Silence, wench! I’ll put you down, all right. I’ll put you down over my knee. I’m going to teach you a lesson.” He quickly ran over to the center of the village where an old stone well sat. He plopped down on the second step, setting Julie on the ground. Ignoring her protests, he pulled her over his lap, with her bottom positioned high on his rigid thigh. “Naughty girls who lie get spankings, and you are going to get the spanking of your life, my naughty young lady.”

Excerpt: (Science Fiction)

The two scooted as close together as the seats would allow. They held hands and Julie rested her head on Harold’s shoulder. As if watching a movie, they observed the stars dim and change colors as the gravity bubble formed around the starship. The stars appeared to shimmy back and forth as the discontinuity in gravity distorted their appearance. The vibration of the ship increased and the intensity of those stars ahead increased as their color shifted to a deep blue. While she couldn’t see them, she knew that the stars behind were shifting to red.

And finally, as the ship accelerated beyond the speed of light, the color of the stars shifted outside the range of visibility. There was nothing beyond the window except blackness.

“That was amazing,” Julie whispered. Swiveling her body and turning her head to Harold, she opened her lips, inviting him to kiss her.

“I’m glad you were here to share it with me.” Harold accepted and softly touched his lips to hers for a gentle, lingering kiss.

Part beauty, part beast, Ronnie needs to be tamed. Del knows just how to do that.

Seeing Ronnie

Romancing the Coast, Book 1

by Libby Campbell

Blurb:

As a social blogger, Ronnie Flynn—aloof, beautiful, cool as a cucumber—is desperate to get to the society event of the year: Simon and Sadie’s engagement party on Seguro Island. No surprise that her name isn’t on the guest list, but as always, Ronnie has a backup plan. A plan that involves the handsome Del Franklin.

Del agrees to a swap: Ronnie gives him the scoop on his estranged wife’s dirty secrets and he takes her as his date to his boss’s party. The handsome, buff man of Italian descent makes only one condition: Ronnie better be good. No snooping. No manipulating. No digging for dirt. Or else.

With crossed fingers, and in spite of Del’s threat of putting her over his knee for disobeying, Ronnie ‘promises’ to be a good girl. Right. She’s not worried about Del. Her code of Keeping a Healthy Distance will protect her heart, and her backside. She’s too wily to get caught, anyway.

Ronnie sees. Literally. She can channel people’s feelings and see into their hearts. All her life, she has been hiding this secret weapon—her psychic ability—because what she sees is often too hard understand and impossible to share. If she can handle that secret, surely she can handle Del. Or can she? He’s not like anyone else. Nothing has prepared her for him. She shouldn’t react like this to his dominance. She’s an independent, wealthy woman in her own right. No man will tell her what to do. Yet, there is something about this sexy dominant Latin lover that makes her pulse race.

Will Ronnie allow Del to break her Code of Keeping a Healthy Distance? Will seeing Ronnie open Del’s eyes to a new world? Will the two of them ever see life the same way?

Publishers’ note: Seeing Ronnie is intended for adults only. Spanking and other sexual activities represented in this book are fantasies only, intended for adults. Nothing in this book should be interpreted as Blushing Books’ or the author’s advocating any non-consensual spanking activity or spanking of minors.

Excerpt

When you’re with me you will be polite and well mannered. Agreed?”

“Agreed.” Ronnie nodded soberly to show her good intentions, but under the table she crossed her fingers.

“You better mean that.” Del drained his coffee cup and levelled his eyes at her. “Because if I catch you prying or snooping—doing anything outside the bounds of good manners—there will be consequences.”

“Consequences?” Ronnie licked a drop of tea off her lips.

“Serious consequences.” The corner of his mouth lifted in a crooked smile. “I will turn you over my knee and paddle your bottom until you beg me to stop. And then I will spank you some more. Do I make myself clear?”

“You do,” Ronnie whispered. A damp flutter clenched between her legs and she pressed her knees together as if she could lock out the desire that suddenly sent her blood boiling. No one had ever threatened her like that before. Worse still, it was as though he was the one with the gift of second sight, as if he’d read her secret intention to ignore everything he’d just said. She glanced over her shoulder to see if anyone might have heard his sultry caution. No one was paying them any attention.

The very worst part was that she had no idea how she was going to turn off the part of her personality that wanted to know everything about everybody. She’d been accused of living through the dramas of other people’s lives and there was more truth to that than she cared to admit. Her own life was dishwater dull and she kept it that way so she had energy for her work as gossip queen. More importantly she kept her life orderly so that there was no mud that could be slung her way. She twisted her tea cup to avoid looking at Del.

“One last problem.” Del spoke as calmly as if he hadn’t just suggested the most erotic thing anyone had put to Ronnie in ten years or so. “I haven’t made a booking and I’m sure every hotel and B&B on the island will be full by now.”

“I have a place we can stay.” Ronnie forced coolness into her voice. She didn’t say it’s a fabulous place and it’s for sale. She’d only seen it in pictures but if it was half as good in real life, she planned to buy it. That was her secret and she wasn’t sharing it with anyone. She held her expression impassive.

“You’ve got a place on Seguro?”

“I wish. This place belongs to friends, but we can use it this weekend. I also have ferry reservations to get us there.” Even if she didn’t get an invitation to the Jacobson bash, she’d planned a weekend on the island to test drive the lake house.

Del lifted an eyebrow. “Separate rooms?”

“Absolutely. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

The memory of the warmth and strength of his hand in hers made her think that sharing a bed with Del Franklin might be pleasurable. The idea of being turned over his knee made her legs tremble. But none of that was going anywhere. She indulged herself in little fantasies from time to time, but she never acted on them.

Ronnie had sworn off men a long time ago.

It takes an alpha man named Steele to tame Cassidy Hart.

Cassidy’s Gentleman                                  cover-1

      By Tess Matthews

BLURB Cassidy’s Gentleman

Texas in the 1880s was no place for a tenderfoot. Thornton Steele is a gentleman from the East, but he came to run a ranch, and he has the strength and determination to do so. He dreams of starting a new life, free of the strictures of his traditional Maryland family, and he is ready and willing to take on whatever barriers are put in his way. The lawless West of the time provides those barriers in plenty.

Cassidy Hart, a Texas native, shares that dream of starting her life over in another place, but she, by her own account, is no lady. Daughter of an unwed mother, she takes care of herself the best she can in the same little town where she was born, even though the wide-open sky is the only roof she can call her own. She is tough, because she has to be, but sensitive, because that’s the way her mother raised her before dying young.

The gentleman and the not-quite lady are thrown together by circumstance, and the attraction is instantaneous. Still, Cassidy cannot help but doubt the Easterner’s sincerity, and pushes back, even as she is drawn to his strength, charm, and good looks.

Thornton, being a man who knows what he wants, wastes no time attempting to prove his love and concern for Cassidy’s well being. Oftentimes, however, to Cassidy’s chagrin, he demonstrates that concern with his strict hand on her bare bottom.

That, of course, is not the end of the lesson, and Cassidy soon learns to look forward to the soft caresses and kisses that follow a session over the big man’s lap.

Cassidy’s Gentleman is a story of love and fun, intrigue and violence in the scarcely tamed West. It also is a true romance, with plenty of loving domestic discipline in the form of spanking.

Publisher’s Note: Cassidy’s Gentleman is a romance novel that contains descriptions of sex and of domestic discipline in the form of bare-bottom spanking and paddling. If such subject matter offends you, please do not read this book.

Excerpt PG-13

“Cassidy, you are something special and here in this moonlight, I can hardly resist—”Thorne reached for her. The feel of his strong arms wrapping around her waistoverwhelmed Cassidy. As he drew her body closer to his, she felt the pounding of her heart and the rush of his breath on her face. He leaned down to meet her lips. She wanted to run, but felt frozen in the moment. Delicately his lips touched hers, she quivered, he drew back and their eyes locked. Cassidy read the hungry passion in his eyes, she felt the tenderness of his touch as he cupped her face with his hands. Gently he drew her face toward his and she felt his lips firmly on hers.

Thorne deepened his kiss and Cassidy tried to pull away, but he grasped the back of her head, again claiming her with his lips. Cassidy’s inhibitions fled as she was consumed by his kiss. Weaving her fingers through his thick, black hair, she welcomed his lips. Passion sparked through every part of her body. Cassidy experienced sensations she had never known before, tingling, burning shocks like lightning surged urging her on, but to what? Passion muddled thoughts and her feelings frightened her. Breaking away, she lightly touched Thorne’s lips with her tender fingertips.

“Wait, Thorne, please wait.”

Excerpt

She let the information sink into her mind. Slaves.  The terminology of everything she’d read over the past few days stuck with her, and she didn’t think she could ever consider herself a slave.  She didn’t mind the term, and she thought no less of anyone who would categorize themselves as such, but she wasn’t sure she fit in that mold. One idea that she engrained in herself over the last two weeks was that she was not the freak she’d originally believed. She was no weakling, either. No one could submit themselves onto another person’s will and be weak. It took strength. And a hell of a lot of trust.

“That might be interesting to see.” She nodded. Very interesting, especially if the play were to all be in the public viewing area, she’d be able to see what she wanted to see without having to get too involved with anyone.  She just needed to get the membership approved as quickly as possible.   “Do you think I’ll be able to get my membership in order by then?”

“I wasn’t telling you about the auction because I want you to view it.” He folded his hands in front of himself, where she could see the obvious bulge in his jeans. Had their short interaction been as intoxicating to him as it was to her?  “I told you about the auction because if after I’ve finished with you here, you decide you’d like that distraction- that rebound- the auction is as good a place as any to get on with it.  But understand, that if you come to the auction. If your pretty ass is standing on the auction block. I will buy you. I will own you.”

Author Interview:

What are your ambitions for your writing career? Every author has a different idea of what success looks like to them. For me, having readers look forward to my upcoming releases is success. I want to succeed in producing a world where my readers can lose themselves and fall in love with my characters. If I can do that, I’m successful.

So, what have you written?  I’ve written short stories that are completely non erotic and not romantic in the least.  Those are mostly short thriller type stories.  As for romance I’ve written 5 BDSM romances, a collection of flash fiction and short stories, and am working on my 6th novel.

Give us an insight into your main character. What does he/she do that is so special? Erin has so much hidden strength that even she can barely see it.  But it’s this strength that she has to tap into in order to reinvent herself in the world she wants to live in.  And Bradley is just so damn firm in his resolve to get her out of her shell he takes my breath away.

Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured? I write during my lunch at work and in the evenings when at all possible..

Do you aim for a set amount of words/pages per day? My daily goal is 1,000 words if I’m only able to get work done during lunch and 2,000 if I get the night time hours too

Do you ever get writer’s Block? Sometimes, but I try not to let that stop me. One of the most valuable exercises I learned in college was the stream of consciousness writing.  You just sit down and write, doesn’t have to make sense or even form into anything more than ramblings, but just write. So when I have trouble coming up with something, I’ll do that and usually the first few minutes are just me spewing garbage, but then something forms that is usable.

Do you let the book stew – leave it for a month and then come back to it to edit?  I do let it stew for a bit before a full edit. Fresh eyes see better.

What advice would you give to your younger self?  I know you think you can’t, but do it anyway. I stopped writing for too many years because I was afraid I’d never be as good as Julie Garwood or Amanda Quick- my favorite romance writers at the time.  And I’m not still not as good as them, and probably never will be, but I don’t let that stop me anymore. And if I could go back, I’d slap my younger self upside the head and tell her to keep writing.

Thanks for stopping by, Measha Stone ❤

‘To Have and To Scold’

Blushing Books

havescoldcomp_500x755Sparks fly between Annie and her handsome neighbor, Matthew Caine.

TEASER-

Matt chuckled dryly. “How long have we been neighbors, Annie?” She opened her mouth and he cut her off with a stern glower. “I’ve known you since the day you were born. You’ve pestered me from the moment you began to walk. You know darn well that whenever I threatened you with a spanking I made good on my threat, didn’t I?” She rolled her eyes as if bored and he struggled to keep his temper in check. “You better rethink about whether or not you’re coming with me under your own steam before I lose what little control I have left on my temper and believe me it ain’t much.”
The little brat retaliated immediately by kicking him in the shin. Matt’s eyes widened in shock at her open defiance.

“There, I rethunk it, and I didn’t have to say a word,” she declared with exaggerated sweetness.

Raucous laughter surrounded him. By damn, when he got his hands on her, she’ll be singing a high note soon enough. “Let’s see who’s all smug and smart after I whip your butt.” He dragged her over to one of the tables, toed out a chair and propped one booted foot on the seat. Annie wriggled this way and that and managed to squirm her way out of his hold. She dove under the table and stayed there.

Laughter erupted once again. “Wowie, this sure is the most entertainment we had in a
long time.”
“Hell yeah,” someone else shouted. “Show her who’s boss, Caine.”
“Lookee, there, she’s more slippery than a newborn calf.”

Matt scowled at the crowd of onlookers. A few men grumbled at their source of
amusement being taken away, but they relented and stepped back when he refused to back down.
“Annie, come with me right now or it’ll be worse for you when I get you home.”
“I won’t let you take me home.” Her muffled pitiful voice floated up from beneath the
table. “I ain’t going back to the Lazy D.”
Matt’s head thumped along with his shin. Threats wouldn’t work at this point if Annie
believed he was bound and determined to escort her back to the Lazy D. He ran a hand down his face before he flipped up the red-checkered tablecloth. His eyes nearly bugged out of his head. Holy shit! The little brat had a gun pointed right at him. His throat convulsed. Annie was a good shot, but in her frame of mind, there was no telling what she’d do. “Um, Annie, be a good girl and put down that gun.”

At the mention of a gun everybody scattered. Tables were overturned and Hank suddenly had a whole lot of company behind the bar.
A tear slid down Annie’s cheek. “Please don’t make me shoot you, Matt. I don’t want to, but I will if you try to take me back there. Eva will drug me with sleeping powders and give me to Lloyd.” She choked on a sob. “I don’t like Lloyd. He scares me.”

Matt tamped down his rage. Drug her? Jesus! “She ain’t drugging you with nothing and you ain’t going anywhere near Lloyd so get that thought right out of your pretty little head. Sally told me all about it, Darlin’, and I promise I will not to take you to the Lazy D.”
Annie’s eyes were a vivid green against the paleness of her face. “Why’d you call me
that?”
“Call you what?”
“Darlin’.”
Matt shrugged. “It’s just an endearment. Don’t you like it when I call you Darlin’?”

She sniffled. “I’m not used to it. You always call me a brat or a nuisance.”

She sure had a way of making him feel like shit. “A very wise man warned me that
females tend to remember things best forgotten. I apologize, Darlin’ for calling you a nuisance, but you are a brat. I’d love it if you’d be my brat.”

“You would?”

Excerpt

“Come in,” Justin said in answer to the knock on the door. His secretary was a young woman, looked to be in about her early twenties and she looked absolutely terrified of him. Was he really so scary?

“Mr. Alexander, I’ve just received a phone call from a parent. I tried to transfer the call but she said there was no need,” the young woman said. “She just asked me to pass on a message.”

“Katie, call me Justin, please. Was there a problem? What was the message?”

“Yes, sir, I mean Justin. Last year there was kind of an ongoing problem with the woman, Mrs. Bridges’ daughter, Sophia. I mean the problem was with the daughter but also with the mother. She was always sticking her nose in; blaming the other kids, telling the teachers how they should teach and what was wrong with the way they disciplined Sophia.”

“Oh?”

“Maybe you better read the child’s file,” Katie said. “I tried to tell her that I wasn’t really the person she should be talking to but she hung up on me before I could transfer the call. She just said tell the principal that Sophia won’t be needing a place in the school this year.”

“I see.” He quickly scanned the file that Katie handed him, although he did intend to have a better look, especially when he saw who the mother was. He frowned. “The mother is Destiny Bridges?” Well, that was either an enormous coincidence or he knew the person; well. More than well, they had been an item for a few years back when they were in school.

“Yes, and the daughter is Sophia Alexis Bridges.” Katie pointed to the file. “As you can see, there were many incidents in the year that she was at this school and the transcripts from her last school in Florida weren’t a lot better.”

“It says here that her mother believes she is misunderstood?” Hmm, so she is an overprotective pain in the ass huh? Figures. She always was a little hot tempered herself if she didn’t get her own way. Not a big surprise that her daughter was shaping up the same way. He had to wonder what she looked like now, the mother, that is, not the daughter. Pain in the ass as she’d been, they had dated for years and he’d loved Destiny; she had broken his heart. Justin had never really gotten over her.

“Seems so,” Katie said. “Anyway, I’ll leave you with the file.”

“Just one last thing, Katie? Did she ask for Sophia’s transcripts to be sent to the next school?”

“There isn’t going to be a next school. She is not bringing the child back to school this year. She thinks she can better educate her at home, away from all the negativity and hoo-ha.”

“Thank you, Katie,” Justin said. Damn, he spoke too soon and jinxed himself. This situation had drama written all over it. The mother did anyway. Taking the file at face value, he would have pretty much guaranteed this mother was the one at the bottom of all the drama anyway. Helicopter parenting was alive and well in the small town of Benson East. As a teacher he had seen it all before; as Destiny’s one-time boyfriend, he had seen similar behavior from her, although back then she was still practically a kid herself, not a parent…

Tony Angelico thinks he knows all about Dominants and submissives. After all, his two brothers are unapologetic Dominants with long-term submissive partners. Tony also knows that Tessa, the woman who works for him… the one girl he can’t get out of his mind… is interested in the lifestyle. But he wants no part of bossing women around, let alone dominating them.

Tessa Damon craves the attention and discipline of a strong, dominant alpha male, but she’s not been able to find what she’s looking for. She’s attracted to Tony, and can’t help fantasizing about being taken over his knee for a sound spanking. She longs for the release and comfort of submitting to a man she can trust.

The night Tony decides to give it a shot, everything changes. But can Tessa be healed from her abusive past, and find that she’s worthy of love? Can they find a path that works for both of them? Will Tony finally understand that there is no one definition to cover every nuance of what being a Dominant means – not when his heart and soul know that he wants nothing more than to assume the role of Tessa’s protector?

Excerpt

“Tell me what you need,” he said, his voice so gentle, it seemed almost ironic he was talking about spanking her. His gentleness made the tears threaten to fall again, her throat clogged with them. She’d been bossed around and tied up, ordered into submission and whipped, but never had any of the men she was with asked her not only what she wanted, but what she needed.

“A real spanking,” she whispered. “One that hurts. I want to feel your strength.”

One of his hands wrapped around her waist, and her hand instinctively flew back. He grasped it, holding her hand, a gesture that was at once intimate and assuring, pressing her hand, engulfed in his large one, into the small of her back as the first smack of his hand fell. Her panties were thin and his hand large; the sting from the single swat hurt more than she’d expected.

“Ow,” she said in a little voice.

“Too hard?” he asked, squeezing her hand in the small of her back.

“Noooo, no no no, please, Tony,” she said. “Not too hard. That’s perfect.”

Another sound smack jolted her, and now he was spanking her in earnest, his palm rising and descending, and the heat of each spank warmed her skin, beginning with a jolt of pain that quickly spread to warmth, and her clit zinged with each stroke…

Whew, that was hawt!!

Jane Henry

Jane has been writing since her early teens, dabbling in short stories and poetry. When she married and began having children, her pen was laid to rest for several years, until the National Novel Writing Challenge (NaNoWriMo) in 2010 awakened in her the desire to write again. That year, she wrote her first novel, and has been writing ever since. In 2012, she became interested in the d/s lifestyle, and has discovered her love for writing romance with a d/s twist. With a houseful of children, she finds time to write in the early hours of the morning, squirreled away with a laptop, blanket, and cup of hot coffee. Years ago, she heard the wise advice, “Write the book you want to read,” and has taken it to heart. She sincerely hopes you also enjoy the books she likes to read.

Maisy Archer

Maisy is an unabashed book nerd who has been in love with romance since reading her first Julie Garwood novel at the tender age of 12. After a decade as a technical writer, she finally made the leap into writing fiction several years ago and has never looked back. Like her other great loves – coffee, caramel, beach vacations, yoga pants, and her amazing family – her love of words has only continued to grow… in a manner inversely proportional to her love of exercise, house cleaning, and large social gatherings. She loves to hear from fellow romance lovers, and is always on the hunt for her next great read.
