Saturday Spankings

Welcome to another Saturday Spanks. Authors post eight sentences from one of their published books or WIP. You can click on the pic above to view the list of authors participating in this week’s blog or click on the words, CLICK HERE below this post. Have a great weekend and happy reading!!!

My eight sentences are from my current story, ‘Just Right for Me’ which is in it’s editing stage and will soon be in search of a home.

Meet ex-marine, Ross Garrison and the beautiful fiery, Mia Adams. The couple agree to give Domestic Discipline a shot and hopefully rekindle a relationship that had ended eight years ago on a sour note.

So, Mia and Ross go over the rules, but don’t get very far because Mia has a problem with rule number. No cursing allowed.

“I’m not allowed to curse.” That sucked.

“Cursing isn’t lady like.” He stated sternly.

Mia scowled. “Since when? It never bothered you before.”

He arched a brow. “It does now.” His dour look dared her to argue further. Mia succeeded in keeping her temper under control, but her curiosity and the need to rebel got the best of her and she had to ask. “What about in the bedroom?”

            “That’s different.”

Mia Adam’s disapproved of her sister’s Domestic Discipline marriage, but when her old flame comes back to town and suggests they give domestic discipline a whirl she changes her mind.  She still regrets the day she had lost her temper and sent Ross Garrison running for the hills.  She’d do anything for a second chance.

Ross Garrison returned to Pennsylvania to attend his aunt’s funeral and hopefully get a second chance with the woman who had stolen his heart so long ago.  Mia possessed a temper to rival the devil and had a penchant for jumping to conclusions, but Ross was no longer the young man who avoided emotional drama. He had matured during his stint in the Marines and was quite capable of taming his wildcat with a good old-fashioned spanking or two.

Mia’s childhood lacked love and discipline and the uncle she thought would always be there for her had betrayed her in the worst possible way. Could she put aside her trust issues and allow Ross to know what was good for her even though her bottom would more than likely suffer the consequences?

Yikes, I did go over the eight sentences. I hope since this is my first offense that the Headmistress will go easy on me:)

Saturday Spankings

Here we are, another Saturday filled with hot spanking snippets to capture your attention and have you wishing you were the one lying across a pair of hard thighs.  These teasers are from some of the best romance authors I’ve had the pleasure of becoming friends with this past year. Participating with these fantastic writers is an honor and a dream come true. They are dedicated to bringing readers the most hot, sexy and satisfying stories and I’m proud to be included in their weekly blog hop. Be sweet and ‘CLICK’ on the pic above my post to view the list of participating authors. You may find your next read:) Enjoy!

My eight sentences are from ‘A Heart’s Endeavor‘.

Melanie had suffered years of verbal abuse from her first husband, Mike Manning. He blamed her for her sudden onset of ‘Clinical Depression’ and reminded her every day about how she was ruining their future with her ‘panic attacks’. Even when the medication kicked in and the ‘episodes’ were far and few in between he’d threaten to ‘put her away’  whenever she’d become angry or emotional so she had learned to keep her emotions to herself. Years after his death she still kept her feelings bottled up inside.

State trooper, Jack Horan loved Melanie and there was no way he’d allow her to keep her emotions to herself. If she was pissed about something he wanted to know and right now she was pissed. He could see by the tightening of her fists that she was fighting to keep her temper in check so he decided to give her a little ‘push’.

In this scene they were having a disagreement. Jack had every intention of turning her over his knee for her deliberately placing herself in danger and Melanie was fit to be tied. In her opinion a forty- something woman was too old to be spanked.

“What’s the matter, Mel? You want to yell at me? Hit me?” He made a sweeping gesture
with his hands. “Go ahead and give me your worse.”

Her brows narrowed. No doubt about it. She was definitely fighting a battle between remaining calm and biting his head off. Either way she was going to get a sound spanking for taking at least ten years off his life.

Read Chapter One of ‘A Heart’s Endeavor’

Chapter 1

Corporal Jack ‘Dog’ Horan leaned against the small window in the communications room at the Pennsylvania State Police barracks. He blew out a breath. What a day. Another five minutes and he was out of there. Hell, another twelve months and he could hand in that blasted campaign hat that troopers were required to wear while on duty and say adios. He loved the job, but twenty-five years on the force was enough.

Becoming an officer of the law had been a dream of his since he was eight years old. It may not have been his mother’s first choice of professions for her only child, but his dad had supported his decision. So did his mother after the initial shock. To ‘protect and serve’ had been drilled into his head at the police academy and stayed with him ever since. Now all he wanted to do was marry and maybe have a kid or two. He hadn’t been as lucky as some of the guys who were already married with families of their own. He may not have found the right woman yet, but he wasn’t giving up the search.

There were plenty of available females who’d like nothing more than to take on a man in uniform, but it was just sex and that was becoming monotonous. He wanted more than just a ‘go out for a drink then fuck’ relationship. He longed for a marriage like his parents had. His parents had openly expressed their love and commitment to one another right up until his dad passed away ten years ago from the coal miners’ disease known as ‘black lung’.

Jack glanced at his watch. One minute left. He might as well head for the locker room. He took a step away from the window only to jerk to a stop when he caught a movement out of the corner of his eye. He had met all the employees at the Grab ‘n’ Go mini market across the street, but he didn’t recognize the girl sweeping the pavement. He peered closer and felt a stirring in his groin. Girl, hell, this was a full-bodied woman. Not the usual skinny-assed type the owner, Bob Delano, was known to hire. Either Bob had wised up or his new wife had laid down the law. From this distance the woman’s backside appeared quite captivating. Jack was anxious to get a closer look.

A hard whack landed on his shoulder. “Hey, Jack, see anything interesting out there?”

Jack swung around and stood directly in front of the window. “Nada.” Hell if he’d say anything. The word female would barely pass his lips and there’d be a cluster of single officers elbowing him out of the way to eyeball the woman like a pack of starving coyotes. No…this time he’d be the one to meet the newbie first.

He hurried to the locker room and changed from his uniform into a pair of jeans and a short-sleeved shirt. His mind raced with questions. What was her name, where did she live, and most importantly, was she married? If so, that would be the pits. He didn’t mess around with married women. Jack stepped into his sneakers and barreled out the side door, nearly knocking over his commanding officer. He hurried to the parking lot behind the barracks and leaped into his Durango. Jack hit the gas and darted across the highway, but she was nowhere in sight. He circled the building on foot and came around the other side. Shit, where did she disappear to so fast? Frustrated, he went inside the store and spotted Bob coming out of the cooler.

Jack tossed a wink in Elaine Delano’s direction. “Can I borrow your husband for a few minutes?” At her nod, Jack threw his arm around the older man’s shoulders and steered him outside. “Okay, Bob, let’s have it. What’s her name, where does she live, and is she married?”

“Is who married?”

Jack rolled his eyes. “Don’t be a smartass.”

Bob chuckled. “Melanie’s been a widow for about a year. She stopped by yesterday and asked about the help wanted sign in the window. I thought I’d give her a shot. She seems pleasant enough.” He lit a cigarette. “Not bad to look at either.”

Jack ignored the offhand remark “Where does she live?”

“At The Lake.”

That information was a surprise. “Hmm, I wonder why I’ve never seen her before at The Cabin or down by the lakeside.” Jack had been given a guest pass by one of his fellow troopers so he could enter the gated community as often as he wanted. He liked to fish and The Lake held fishing tournaments along with other interesting events for both the young and the old.

Without another word, he spun on his heel and left Bob with his smoke. Back inside, Jack prowled each aisle and came up with zilch. He sauntered over to the counter and picked up a bottle from its cardboard display. He pretended to read the label while trying to think of a way to ask Elaine about Melanie without sounding like a horny teenager.

“Are you buying that bottle of horny goat weed or do you intend on staring at it for the rest of the day?”

She smiled knowingly. “If you’re looking for the new girl she left a little while ago.”

Jack set the bottle down with a bang and glanced outside. Bob was nowhere to be found. Mumbling under his breath, Jack strode to the back of the store and plowed through the swinging doors bearing the sign Employees Only. He was wise to Bob’s tricks. There was an emergency exit at the rear of the building the girls used for quicker access to the trash bin. Bob must have come back inside that way to avoid getting his head knocked off for not telling him Melanie had left.

Jack poked his head around the doorjamb of the small office and snarled, “Thanks a lot, asshole.” Bob’s look of surprise didn’t fool him in the least. He stared pointedly at the two monitors on the table in the corner of the room. Christ, the man must think him an idiot. “You knew I was hanging around to talk to her.” He heard footsteps behind him and moved to the side.

“Hey, honey, Stacy’s on time for once.” Elaine grabbed her purse from underneath a chair. “I’m going home to start the lasagna. You’re welcome to join us, Jack.”

“No thanks, sweetheart. I have to be going too. I promised my mom I’d stop by and check the oil in her car.” He nodded to Bob and followed Elaine to the back exit. He stopped and said, “Remind the girls to always release this bar on the door after Bob leaves for the day. It’ll be locked from the outside, but if there’s an emergency all they’ll have to do is give it a good push. That way they won’t have to waste time fumbling with the key.”

Elaine batted her eyelashes and grinned. “I always do, Trooper Horan.”

Jack frowned. “I’m not joking, Elaine,” he said sternly. “And make sure you tell Melanie.”

The short redhead’s smile vanished immediately. “I will, Jack. In case you’re interested, Melanie’s working seven-to-three tomorrow and then three-to-eleven permanently after that.”

He winked. “Thanks.”

It’s Day 13 of the Took My Breath Away Book Blog Tour and I’m thrilled to be on Mary’s blog today! If you miss any days of the book blog tour, you can find links to them here.

It’s Taboo…really? When my publisher put the term ‘taboo’ with my new book Took My Breath Away, I was startled. My first thought was, what is taboo about it? It can’t be the M/M aspect, or the spanking aspect. Then it occurred to me – it has to be the fact there is a spanking in here that unless you read it in context, might freak some people out.

In this snippet, Logan has come to ask his father for help.

“You are my son. I will always come rescue you if you need it, no matter where you are in this world. There will never come a day when you are too old for me to do so. Though there may come one where your partner will do it instead of me, and that I accept.

“You know, Christian was all ready to come here by himself to get you? I figured I was best at dealing with my family, while he could take care of you.”

Breathing slowly, Logan nodded. “He forgave me for something I said a few days ago, Dad, but I don’t know if I can forgive myself.”

“Ah.” Gregory stroked his son’s head. “What did you say?”

“I have been very vocal about having a boyfriend this whole time. But a couple nights ago, someone asked me about my necklace and I told them it was a gift from a friend.” Logan winced as he spoke. Every time he thought of it, it made him cringe.

“Well, Christian is your friend as well as the man you love. And, Son, you were highly stressed and I can assume your grandparents and your uncle were there as well, watching. Logan, you were doing everything you could to be the perfect person they wanted you to be. Don’t blame yourself.”

Snorting softly, Logan shook his head and pulled back, realizing his father was going to make him ask. “Dad, I need your help. Please, help me let go.”

While unhappy to be missing four weeks of Christian’s company, Logan is thrilled to spend a month with his father’s relatives in New York.  A naturally gregarious individual, he is used to winning people over and getting things right. Unfortunately, the Mannettes are not what he expects and for the first time in his life, he finds himself seriously doubting who he is.

Christian has regained some of his old self-esteem and is taking on new challenges. Besides growing in the relationship he has with Logan, he takes the time his boyfriend is away to learn more about domestic discipline. He learns a little online but it is actually Gregory, Logan’s father, where he gains most of his information.  When Logan returns to a strong, self-assured Christian, it is with complete relief. As discussions turn to domestic discipline and they realize their true roles within their current and future relationship, both of them are able to let their inhibitions go and together their connection grows surprising Logan to an epiphany.

Saturday Spankings

Yay, it’s Saturday Spanks. A weekly blog hop where authors post eight sentences from one of their spanking stories or a story in progress. Click the ‘PIC’ above and be sure to check out the other authors participating in this week’s blog. My eight sentences are from ‘A Heart’s Endeavor‘.

Don’t you hate it when you take the time to leave a note, the person you intended it for reads it and still jumps to the wrong conclusions? Well, State trooper Jack Horan is determined to teach Melanie a lesson she’ll never forget.

“Don’t stand there and act all Neanderthal and tell me what to do. Where were you the past couple of days?” Shit, Mel hadn’t meant say that. She sounded like a jealous wife.

“Didn’t you read my note?”

Momentarily caught off guard by the question, and not sure how to respond, because he had indeed left a note, Mel pressed her lips together and remained silent.

Jack stepped closer, and she could feel the heat radiating from his body. “You thought I didn’t want to see you again because of the panic attack, didn’t you?”

Oh my, I wonder what Jack’s gonna do?

Another lonely Christmas approaches for Anna and her life of penance—until the otherworldly Alexander appears.

Anna is a lonely woman, running her dead grandmother’s flower shop. She hates Christmas and could not feel more lost when a handsome and mysterious Russian, Alexander, walks into her shop and her life. Each has secrets and magic they are harboring. Just as their passion erupts, the good old boys in town threaten to ruin everything. Getting to know each other is tough for most couples, but with a pack of werewolves out to destroy them, things become intense. They find themselves in a fight for their lives. Can their newfound love give them the strength to win against this threat and trust in the future?

“So you just got the quick sketch of my life, so perhaps I can ask where you are from. I love your accent.”

“Russia. I grew up right outside of Moscow.”

“Russia? Wow! What brings you to small town Vermont? Other than the snow, I can’t imagine we are anything like Moscow,” Anna said in true wonderment.

“My family came to visit and we wanted to go somewhere quiet. I live in Washington, D.C. now. Here seemed like a good spot for a vacation. And I must say I am glad we picked this town on a whim.” Alexander moved even closer to her, close enough they were almost touching and he could gently stroke her hair, sending a visible shiver down her back. “I am not making you uncomfortable, am I?”

Anna swallowed. “No, uncomfortable is not exactly the word for what you are making me feel.” She turned around so she stared up into Alexander’s deep blue eyes. They were close enough for her to kiss his full lips and she found herself wanting to very much.

“You are a very beautiful woman, Anna.” Alexander stepped even closer so their bodies touched. Anna immediately felt heat rush all through her body from only a little contact. She felt her own blue eyes widen in anticipation.

“Thank you,” Anna murmured, feeling a blush spread across her face, so evident on her pale skin. “So are you… I mean, you are very attractive too.”

Alexander smiled and leaned down so his lips almost touched hers. “I am going to kiss you now, Anna, unless you tell me not to.”

“Umm, okay.” Anna’s breath grew heavier as Alexander brought his lips to meet hers.

Check out this spanking snippet from Maddie Taylor’s newest release, Marshal’s Law. I read it. I loved it!! If you’re a fan of stern sexy men who believe a woman is never too old to take a trip over a man’s firm thighs, then this is the book for you.
marshalslaw_fullWhen Janelle Prescott is thrown from her car as it careens off of an
icy road, she expects to wake up in a hospital. Instead, to her utter
disbelief, she wakes up in a jail cell which looks like something from
an old western movie set. It is there, hurt and alone, with no idea
what happened or how she will get back home, that Janelle first meets
Aaron Jackson. As she regains her wits, however, Janelle realizes that
something is terribly amiss, and her worst fears are confirmed when
she learns that Aaron is the marshal of Cheyenne County, Wyoming… and
the year is 1878.When an injured, apparently addle-headed woman falls into his lap, Aaron takes it upon himself to keep her safe and nurse her back to
health. Truth be told, he is instantly attracted to her despite her
sharp tongue and her bizarre story—a story which he is quickly forced
by the evidence to accept as genuine. After Aaron takes her under his
wing and into his family’s home, the two clash frequently, but Aaron
is more than ready to lay down the law… even if that means a good,
hard, bare-bottom spanking for this feisty brat from another era.Having little choice, Janelle must learn how to live as a woman in 1878, including submitting to the firm-handed marshal who, in spite of
everything, seems to have laid claim to her heart.

Janelle’s protests were ignored, however, as she was jostled and placed on a hard surface. The room had a strong pungent odor, like nail polish remover. Not the strong, sterile, antiseptic smell of a usual doctor’s office. Looking around, she was shocked at her surroundings. Rough wood plank cabinets and floors, an old, wooden cane-backed wheelchair, and was that a hand pump at the sink? It looked like something she had seen in an Old West museum in an amusement park once. She tried to sit up, wondering what in the world was going on.

“Lay back now, miss. You’ve got a nasty cut on your forehead” the doctor stated the obvious before looking up at the marshal. “She’s going to need stitches, Aaron.”

“Technically, she’s my prisoner, so I’ll cover the expense.”

“That wasn’t my worry. This is likely to hurt, and I’m out of chloroform. I’ll have to use the ether.”

Ether? Chloroform? Dear God, had she heard him correctly? Was she dreaming, or trapped in some sort of old west delusion? It seemed very real to her, and she couldn’t just lie there meekly and do nothing.

“Are you freaking nuts? You can’t use ether! At the very least, you’ll blow us all to kingdom come with that shit. Not to mention, I’ll probably never wake up from it.” Her vision was finally starting to clear a bit, and she looked up into the face of a startled white-haired gentleman who she assumed was ‘Doc’. “Don’t you have some butterfly bandages or steri-strips? Just clean it up with some Betadine. Who the hell uses ether for a gash on the head, for crying out loud?”

“Marshal, I barely understand a word coming out of this poor child’s mouth. Except for the cuss words, that is. She must have taken quite a blow; she’s addled.”

“I am not addled, sir. I am a registered nurse and know what I’m saying. Give me a mirror, and I’ll do it myself.”

“Give me a minute with her, will you, Doc?” The familiar deep voice captured Janelle’s attention, and she turned her head toward its source. Her jaw gaped in amazement, because looming over her, not an inch away, was the spitting image of Joe Manganiello, her favorite werewolf from her favorite show—True Blood. His dark hair and soulful brown eyes, along with the scruff of a dark beard, were the same as werewolf Joe’s from her sexy dreams. Only this man was taller, hotter, and a lot more muscular. He also appeared to be a heck of a lot angrier.

The doctor nodded, tucking a soft wad of linen into her hand. He quickly gave her instructions to hold pressure against the wound to slow the bleeding and then quietly left the room.

As soon as the door clicked shut, Joe’s lookalike walked closer to the table and stared down at her. “Let’s get some things straight, right now. You will do exactly what the doctor says; you will do it politely and will thank him when he is done. And if I hear another foul or disrespectful word out of your mouth, I will turn you over my knee and paddle your little butt until you can’t sit for a week. Is that understood?”

I simply loved this newest offering from Maddie Taylor. Janelle is a 21st century nurse who finds herself transported back in time to 1878 after loosing control of her car. Unable to remember just how she got there, she finds herself bleeding in a jail cell. Aaron is marshal in a small Wyoming town. Sparks fly and Janelle is introduced to the strict standards of the time as well as a hefty dose of DD. Forced to marry her, the two embark on a rocky road that leads to their HEA.This book was outstanding to say the least. Just the right amount of spankings and sex. Mixed in with a great storyline. The last two pages of the book are pure magic as Janelle’s parents……., well I won’t ruin it for you. Let’s just say I laughed,I cried and I cheered. Maddie Taylor is an auto download for me. When I see a new book out by her I just buy it. I am hoping MT will make this a trilogy and give us Heath and Luke’s stories also.
Highly recommend!,

Will the shame of her mother’s betrayal prevent Sara from having her heart’s desire?

Sara Martin spent her life longing for two things—less responsibility and the boy next door. When Cade Dalton finally noticed her, she was thrilled. But when he suggested a threesome with his brother, she knew the rumors she’d heard were true—Cade and Reese Dalton shared women, something Sara despised. Her mother had chosen a life of sordid sex with two men over her marriage, leaving a broken ten-year-old girl behind. No way was Sara going down that road. She was happy to comply with Cade’s dominant tendencies, but she would not stand for any “sharing” in the relationship.

To her surprise, Cade agreed to give up his lifestyle in order to be with her. He swore to never again bring up the idea of a threesome, insisting that having Sara as his wife—and the Head of Household arrangement they’d come to—was more than enough to make him happy.

But six months into the marriage Sara’s brother-in-law was beginning to look mighty fine. She regretted passing on the chance to be between the two sexy Dalton brothers, but after her violent reaction to Cade’s suggestion she was too ashamed to admit she had changed her mind. And too ashamed to admit she wanted the same sordid lifestyle her mother had chosen.
