“You go on back to the house and change,” he said in a tone as smooth as steel.
Annie huffed and crossed her arms over her chest in a show of defiance. She wasn’t about to back down. “I don’t think so.”
One dark brow arched. “Are you sassing me, wife?”
“Why yes, I do believe I am. Is that a problem?”
