Slade keeps his word and teaches Charlotte a lesson she’ll never forget.

Slade lifted her by the waist and sat her on his lap. He pulled out a handkerchief from the pocket of his shirt. “Dry your tears and blow.”
Charlotte sniffled. “I was never spanked before.”
Slade pretended surprise. “Nah, really?” He adjusted her on his lap so her head rested right below his jaw. He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight. “You are never ever to place yourself in danger again. Do you understand?”
