Hi all, welcome to another Saturday Spanks weekly Blog Hop. My eight sentences are from my new release, ‘Charley’s Pride,’ published by Blushing Books. Don’t forget to scroll down and check out the list below this post for more hot teasers from your fav authors. Have a wonderful weekend!
Setting the scene. Charlotte’s on her way to Kansas disguised as a boy and is determined to arrive in her father’s arms safe and sound. The only way to do that is to keep her mouth shut, but when the stage is held up by a trio of bandits, she finds it difficult to heed fellow passenger, Slade Hazard’s orders.
“I mean it. You mind what I said, Charley. So help me if you cause a lick of trouble I’ll peel a layer of skin off your hide.”
“Stop threatening me.”
“Stop giving me grief.”
The door opened and they both shut up. Sunlight and dust filtered inside the stuffy coach.
“Toss the hardware.”
Hmm, I wonder if Charley minds Slade and behaves herself? Until next time 😀

Sunlight and dust filtered inside the stuffy coach. Great picture there, Mary. I can see it!!
Love the scenario of her in disguise.
I’m thinking she will definitely NOT behave!
Not enough, but alas, those are the rules. Good stuff, Mary.
